Lettering Styles
MODERN, as in the Picasso sample, is a heavy alphabet that goes wonderfully with the abstract, surrealistic style of painting that the name implies.

ROMAN, as in the Durer sample, is always an appropriate alphabet for any style of painting. It is a elegant, serifed style that has been used for centuries.

SHADOWED, as in the Homer sample, uses the Roman letter for its base, with a light shadowing added to give it depth. Used to complement strong subjects or give emphasis to an artist's name.

ITALIC, as in the Lane sample, is a flourished alphabet that complements seascapes and stronger impressionistic styles.

SCRIPT, as in the Cassatt sample, is a beautifully flourished alphabet that lends itself to lighter impressionistic styles and painting with movement.

CHANCERY, as in the Rembrandt sample, is lettered in upper and lower case. It is often used with European masters as this is where the alphabet originated.

BOLD, as in the Benton sample, is a plain sans serif alphabet that lends itself to simple subject matter and bold colors where anything else would detract from the painting.

WESTERN, as in the Remington style, is taken from an alphabet popular in the days of the Wild West. Perfect with the lively depictions of contemporary Western life.
